The regular inspection items of the transformer include acid value, water-soluble acid, flash point, and breakdown voltage of its external shape. The purpose of regular purification and filtration of the transformer is to remove water and impurities in the oil, so as to improve the strength of the resistance value.
1.The ultimate acid value is greater than 0.1mgKOH/g. There are 3 possible reasons for the limit: overload, antioxidant consumption, and oil pollution. The most effective method can be taken to exceed the limit of acid value: by using a transformer vacuum oil filter machine, the oxide produced in the operation of insulating oil is adsorbed and purified to achieve balanced antioxidant content.
2.The super-limit of water-soluble acid is less than 4.2. The reasons are oil aging and oil pollution. In addition to the limitation of water-soluble acids, the following actions can be taken: the increasing number of tests and comparing the causation with acid values. A lot of work has to be done like regenerate oil or change oil if it makes economic sense.
3.The breakdown voltage limit is less than 20KV. The reasons are too much water in the oil, or oil pollution with impurity particles. The following actions can be taken when the breakdown voltage exceeds the limit: find the reason, and carry out vacuum oil filter treatment, frame pressure type oil filter treatment, or change the oil. Generally using ZYD vacuum oil filter machine demand is greater than the breakdown voltage 50kv.
4.The flash limit point is less than 130 ℃., or lower than the previous experimental value at 5 ℃. There are more than two reasons: overheating equipment or using the wrong type of oil. You can find the issue and clear the trouble, use a vacuum oil filter machine for processing, or change the oil.
5.If the oil looks opaque, impurities or suspension, the possible reasons for the unusual appearance of the oil include the presence of water, fibers, black carbon, and other solids. The following actions should be taken:
-a. The oil is fuzzy and cloudy white, which indicates that the oil contains water.
