Transformer Oil Purification is a process of purifying the transformer oil by eliminating or reducing physical contaminations, such as particles, water content, gas content, and others. Referring to this three contaminants, the transformer oil purification generally goes through the stages
Filtration (oil filtration)
De-humidification (removal of moisture), and
De-gasification (dissolved gas dissolution)
In another word, Transformer Oil Purification process is also named one combination of two treatment procedures. The filtration process and the vacuum process; filtration process can filter particles > 0.1 microns, while the vacuum process remove most of the dissolved water and eliminate the gas content in the transformer oil. This simple operation usually enough to correct the low voltage of electricity(caused by the combination of particles and high water content)
At last, transformer oil purification has the functions of on line work, vacuum drying and vacuum oiling.
